The Northern Ireland Regional Burns Service provides burn care for all of Northern Ireland. Almost two thirds of the population live within 40 minutes travel to the hospital. There is a multidisciplinary team who plan and coordinate the care of the burn patient. The team includes burns surgeons, burn nurses, occupational therapists and physiotherapists. There is also a psychotherapy team and social worker available as part of the team. Camouflage makeup or cream, laser and tattooing are offered if needed.
